250 bottles of illegal liquor seized at Cachar, 1 arrested

April 17: Just a day to go for the Lok Sabha election for Silchar parliamentary constituency, when huge number of bottles of foreign liquor were seized from the illegal possession of a person. On the basis of a tip off, Excise Department of Cachar raided a house at Udharbond area of Cachar. A total of 250 bottles of foreign liquor was seized in the raid. In this connection, a man named, Paltu Paul was also arrested. Investigation is on for the reason why these bottles were stored in the house.
