21 found Covid +ve in Assam on Wednesday, active cases 54 in the state

June 15: On Wednesday, out of 726 tests, 21 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,24,288. Out of the 21 positive cases detected on Wednesday, 11 are from Kamrup Metro, 02 from Bongaigaon, 01 from Nagaon and 07 from Kamrup Rural district. The positivity rate in the state is 2.89 percent. Further, on Wednesday, none died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,639. The recovery rate is 98.89 percent. No persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,16,288 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 54 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 10 persons tested positive in Assam and no death was registered.
