2074 patients discharged in Assam on Friday
Sept. 18: On Friday, 2074 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, 1,23,684 patients were discharged in the state as of now. At present, there are 28,631 active cases in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “2074 patients discharged today Please take good care of your health. Eat well and rest well. Best wishes to all recovered patients.”
On Friday, the number of novel coronavirus cases in Assam increased once again. During the day, 2509 new positive cases were reported in the state. With this, the state tally of COVID-19 cases have now gone upto 1,52,858. A total of 36,027 tests were done on Friday. Further, during the day, 12 more persons succumbed to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 540.
