437 found Covid +ve in Assam on Thursday, 1 death & active cases 4,745 in the state

Aug 4: On Thursday, out of 7,402 tests, 437 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,40,886. The positivity rate in the state is 5.90 percent. Out of the 437 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Dibrugarh (55), Kamrup Metro (40), Cachar (28), Goalpara (28) and Sivasagar (23).

Further, on Thursday, 01 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased is from Jorhat. The death toll in the state stands at 6,666. The recovery rate is 98.28 percent. 608 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,28,119 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 4,745 active Covid patients in the state. On Wednesday, 431 persons were detected Covid-19 positive in Assam.
