2 tests Covid positive in Cachar on Monday, 10 discharged

There are 18 active cases in Cachar

Feb. 14: The number of coronavirus cases in Cachar district is gradually decreasing. The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Monday at 6.41 PM. As per the latest data, a total of 02 persons were found positive in the district on 14 February. Also, 10 patients were discharged (09 from home & 01 from hospital) during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has gone down to 18, out of which, 09 are in home isolation whereas 09 are admitted in various hospitals of the district. On Sunday, 06 persons were found positive in Cachar. The death toll in Cachar due to Covid has reached 35 this year.

As per the updated data, a total of 392 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 01 person was found positive, whereas 01 more was detected positive out of 88 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 Jan 2022 reached 6,413 whereas during this phase, 6,360 patients were discharged. There has been a gradual decline in the number of daily positive cases in Cachar district. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 13 February to 5 PM on 14 February) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Monday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 14 February, there was 01 Covid-19 active patient at Silchar Medical College who was put on ventilator & oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, no Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and none were discharged. No patient was detected positive in RAT at SMCH and 01 found positive in RTPCR on Monday.
