1st COVID-19 patient of Tripura discharged after successful treatment
April 17: The first COVID-19 positive patient of Tripura was discharged after successful treatment on Wednesday. She has been sent for quarantine under medical supervision After being detected corona positive on 7 April she was brought to Agartala Medical College Hospital (AGMC). The woman has a travel history to Guwahati and reached Agartala on 19 March. She is a resident of Udaipur in Gomoti district of Tripura.
Taking to his twitter handle, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb tweeted, “Glad to share that first #COVID19 positive patient of Tripura has been discharged today, as she has recovered & found negative in consecutive tests. She has been sent for quarantine under medical supervision. I pray to Mata Tripurasundari so that State turns Corona free soon.”

As of now, two persons have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Tripura. On April 10 last, Tripura reported its second case of the virus, which was detected in a TSR jawan. According to the health authorities, the person had travelled along with first COVID positive patient in a train. The second infected patient is a Tripura State Rifles (TSF) jawan.
