Election to 60 wards of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation to be held on 19 April

March 23: In a notification issued by the State Election Commission, it was announced that the election to 60 wards of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) to be held on 19 April, 2022. The counting of votes will be held on May 21. The voting will be held from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. A total of 6,98,829 voters will exercise their franchise at 69 polling stations. Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) will be used to record the votes.
