1,796 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Thursday, 2262 discharged & 22 deaths registered

July 22: On Thursday, out of 1,59,545 tests, 1,796 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,54,221. The positivity rate in the state is 1.13 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 226 positive cases during the day. Further, on Thursday, 22 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,076. The recovery rate is 96.16 percent.

It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 1,547 persons tested positive in Assam and 25 deaths were registered.
