1795 patients discharged in Assam on Sunday
Sept. 20: On Sunday, 1795 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, 1,27,335 patients were cured and subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres in the state. At present, there are 28,780 active cases in the state. In a tweet, State health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “1795 patients discharged today My best wishes to all recovered patients. Take care.”
On Sunday, there was a sharp decline both in the number of tests and the number of fresh cases of COVID-19. A total of 19,318 tests were performed in the state, out of which, 1227 were detected as positive. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus has now gone upto 1,56,680. Further, during the day, another 14 persons died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 562.
