Jiribam kidnapping and killing: DC Inspects Damaged Houses

way2barak, November 13: Deputy Commissioner of Jiribam, Krishna Kumar, IAS, along with the Superintendent of Police, Jiribam, and Commanding Officer of 20th Battalion CRPF, inspected damaged houses at Jakuradhor Karong, Lamdai Khunou, and Modhupur to assess resettlement measures for displaced persons currently staying at relief camps.

During the visit, the team interacted with the inmates of the relief camps and distributed toys and sweets to the children. The Deputy Commissioner also handed over sports materials to youth clubs of Jakuradhor and Lambhutangkhal, as well as to students of Netaji Government High School and the relief camp at Borobekra Police Station.

Later, Krishna Kumar reviewed the status of the Jiribam–Tipaimukh Road with the concerned Executive Engineer and contractor, emphasizing timely completion and quality maintenance of the project.

Notably, it is the completion of one year of Jiribam kidnapping and killing of 6 female and children. People of the area took out a candle procession and remembered the victims.
