1702 patients discharged in Assam on Tuesday
Sept. 29: On Tuesday, 1702 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, till now, 1,43,999 patients got cured and wer subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres across the state. At present, there are 32,539 active cases in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “1702 patients discharged today. Precautions is always better than cure. I advise people to keep taking strict precautions to contain the pandemic.”
On Tuesday, a total of 1,34,570 tests were done in the state, out of which, 3592 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus has now gone upto 1,77,221. Further, during the day, another 13 persons died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 680.
