1593 discharged in Assam on Saturday

August 15: On Saturday, 1593 patients were discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres in Assam. With this, 53,286 patients got cured and subsequently discharged in the state. Further, during the day, 1057 persons tested positive in Assam. With this, the state tally has gone upto 75,558, out of which, 22,087 are active cases. Saturday also registered 7 deaths in Assam, thereby taking the death tally to 182. Cachar recorded a total of 148 positive cases. In a tweet, State Health Miniter Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “1593 patients discharged on Aug 15. Our total number of recovered patients is more than double to that of active patients. Kudos to doctors.”
