1582 persons put under home quarantine in Hailakandi

April 8: In Hailakandi, 1,582 persons are under home quarantine with 11 more quarantined on Wednesday. Five persons are under mass quarantine facility while three are in isolation ward of SK Roy Civil Hospital. Of the 60 samples taken, 45 tested negative. The patient who tested COVID-19 positive is undergoing treatment at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH).

Following the COVID-19 positive case, the Hailakandi district administration has declared the Borjurai village under Hailakandi Revenue Circle as containment zone to arrest further spread of the virus with immediate effect.
