1,579 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Sunday, 2,793 discharged & 16 deaths registered
There are 19,972 active Covid cases in Assam
July 11: On Sunday, out of 97,257 tests, 1,579 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,33,663. The positivity rate in the state is 1.62 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 150 positive cases during the day. Further, on Sunday, 16 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 4,828. The recovery rate is 95.10 percent.
It needs mention here that on Saturday, 2,391 persons tested positive in Assam and 24 deaths were registered.
On Sunday, 2,793 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,07,516 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 95.10 percent. At present, there are 19,972 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 16 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 16 deceased, 02 each are from Kamrup Rural & Kokhrajhar; 01 each from Baksa, Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Hojai, Karbi Anglong, Nagaon, Nalbari, Sivasagar, Sonitpur & Tinsukia. The death tally of the state now stands at 4,828.
