148 found Covid +ve including 26 air passengers in Cachar on 2 May

May 2:  A total of 148 new cases of COVID-19 was reported on Saturday in Cachar. During the day, 626 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done, out of which, a total of 62 persons were found positive, whereas 86 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. This was informed by Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed, District Surveillance Officer (DSO), IDSP, Cachar on Sunday night. With this, the district tally of coronavirus cases has gone upto 12,962. Again, 12,228 patients till now were cured and discharged.

Further, during the day, 368 air passengers arrived at Silchar Airport, out of which, 26 of them were found to be positive during the Civid test at Mahatma Gandhi Model Hospital at Tikal. It needs mention here that on Saturday, 124 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

Apart from this Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed informed that out of the 585 active patients, 73 of them are admitted at SMCH, 11 in MH, 14 at SMDCH, 32 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital, 02 at CRPF Doyapur and 12 at Gracewell Nursing Home. Further, 441 patients are in home isolation. No Covid-19 related deaths were registered in the district on 2 May, 2021.
