142 Covid deaths in Assam in last 3 days including 55 on Wednesday

May 6: With a tragic turn of events, more and more people are losing their lives in Assam due to Covid-19. In the last three days, 142 persons in the state have lost their lives due to the deadly coronavirus. On 4 May, 41 people succumbed to Covid-19, 5 May recorded 55 more deaths and on 6 May, 46 persons lost their lives in the virus attack.

Out of the 46 deceased on Thursday, 13 are from Kamrup Metro; 4 each from Dibrugarh & Kamrup Rural; 3 each from Golaghat, Nalbari & Tinsukia, 2 each from Barpeta & Sonitpur; 1 each from Cachar, Karimganj, Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dima Hasao, Hojai, Jorhat, Lakhimpur, Nagaon & Sivasagar. The death tally of the state now stands at 1,531.

Apart from the 1,531 Covid deaths, another 1,347 Covid positive patients also died in Assam, but due to comorbidities.
