Postal ballot facility open for election duty officials in Cachar

way2barak, March 19 : —In a significant step towards facilitating inclusive electoral participation, the Office of the District Election Officer, Cachar has issued an important notification regarding voting through the postal ballot system for government officials engaged in the forthcoming Assembly Election 2026.

All government personnel deputed on election duty will be entitled to exercise their franchise through the postal ballot, ensuring that official responsibilities do not come in the way of their democratic rights. To avail this facility, concerned officials are required to collect Form 12 the prescribed application for the postal ballot from the Postal Ballot Paper Cell.

The Cell has been set up at the Office of the Circle Officer, Sadar Revenue Circle, Silchar, and will remain open on all working days from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Officials may also approach the Cell for any clarification or assistance related to the procedure.

Completed application forms must be duly submitted at the same Cell on or before March 26, 2026, by 5:00 PM.

 

The district administration has urged all eligible personnel to complete the process well in advance to avoid any last-minute inconvenience and to ensure smooth facilitation of their voting rights.
