Man goes for robbery in Assam, cooks ‘Khichdi’ in between, gets arrested

Jan. 12: In a curious move, a thief went inside a house in Guwahati on Tuesday night with the intention of stealing valuables. As it is said, “Empty stomachs lead to disasters,” so the same happened with this burglar. On entering the house, the thief might have felt hungry and started to cook ‘Khichdi’. Well, that was enough for the members of the family to discover the robber, who finally landed up in police look  up.

Sharing the incident in a hilarious note, Assam Police on Tuesday tweeted, “The curious case of a cereal burglar! Despite its many health benefits, turns out, cooking Khichdi during a burglary attempt can be injurious to your well being. The burglar has been arrested and @GuwahatiPol is serving him some hot meals.”
