1057 tests +ve in Assam on Saturday, tally rises to 75,558

August 15: On Saturday, 1057 persons tested positive in Assam. With this, the state tally has gone upto 75,558, out of which, 23,680 are active cases. Further, Saturday also registered 7 deaths in Assam, thereby taking the death tally to 182. Cachar recorded a total of 148 positive cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 1057 COVID cases detected on August 15 out of 20805 tests done in last 24 hours Our positivity rate continues to be low (today- 5.08%) which gives us confidence.”
