1,028 found Covid +ve in Assam, 5293 discharged & 18 deaths registered on Wednesday

Feb. 2: On Wednesday, out of 33,425 tests, 1,028 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 7,18,920. The positivity rate in the state is 3.08 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 254 positive cases during the day. Further, on Wednesday, 18 died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,499. The recovery rate is 96.80 percent. Also, 5,293 persons were discharged during the day. There are at present 15,178 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 1,486 persons tested positive in Assam and 20 deaths were registered.
