1,000 entrepreneurs from Cachar embark on special train to attend CM’s Atmanirbhar Assam event in Guwahati
Way2barak, September 29 : In a significant move towards fostering entrepreneurship and self-reliance, approximately 1,000 entrepreneurs from Cachar district, under the leadership of Dr. Dhruba Jyoti Hazarika, Nodal Officer for Cachar, embarked on a special train journey from Silchar Railway Station to Guwahati on Sunday.
This delegation, representing various Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LACs) of Cachar, is set to participate in the ceremonial distribution of demand drafts under the “Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhiyan (CMAAA)” to be held at the Veterinary College Playground, Khanapara, Guwahati, on September 30, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
The team of officials accompanying the entrepreneurs are Sanjay Goala, Ranger, Dholai Range; Makul Basumatary, BDO, Sonai LAC; Praveen Mahato, Assistant Commissioner, Silchar LAC; Kubad Ahmed Choudhury, BDO, Udharbond LAC; Lakhyajit Gogoi, Assistant Commissioner, Lakhipur LAC; Antara Paul, BDO, Katigorah LAC; and Anyal Haque Mollah, BDO, Borkhola LAC.
The delegation is scheduled to attend the much-awaited event graced by the Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, where demand drafts will be distributed to the beneficiaries of the Chief Minister’s flagship Atmanirbhar Assam project, aimed at empowering local entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth in the state.
As the group prepared to depart, Cachar District Commissioner Mridul Yadav and Superintendent of Police Numal Mahatta, extended their best wishes and bid farewell to the contingent at Silchar Railway Station.
This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to encouraging self-reliance and entrepreneurial spirit in the state.
The event in Guwahati is expected to be a landmark moment in Assam’s journey towards economic empowerment and self-sufficiency, with the active participation of Cachar’s budding entrepreneurs.
