1 in ventilator & 1 in oxygen support out of 16 active cases at SMCH on Wednesday

Jan. 5: The Covid-19 cases at SMCH has somewhat increased at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) since the last 5 days. However, the last 24 hours (5 PM on 04 January to 5 PM on 05 January) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at SMCH. This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Wednesday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 05 January, there were 16 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 01 patient was put under ventilator support, and 01 is in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 02 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 09were discharged.
