Mechanism for inter-district movement for Cachar district released, click to know

April 24: As already notified by the state govt, the inter-district movement of stranded persons to their home districts will begin on 25 April, 2020. In a press release, Sumit Sattawan, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Cachar informed that on 25 April, movement will only take place for Barak Valley. The following mechanism is to be followed during the movement for Cachar district only:

• People who have registered at 104, will receive SMS with details of Bus Number tonight
• Passengers to assemble at nearest police station/ outpost
• They will be taken to ISBT by vehicles provided by district administration
• Police personnel will check for SMS received by the passengers before allowing them to leave police station.
• At ISBT, passengers can board buses as per SMS received by them only after Medical Screening
• Buses for only Hailakandi and Karimganj will go on 25.04.2020
• People coming from Karimganj and Hailakandi can get down at Cachar District at following points: Katigorah, Pailapul, Silchar, Rangirkhari, Sonai, Dholai and Udharbond.
