Assam registers 8 more COVID-19 deaths, tally rises to 140

August 8: On Saturday, 8 more COVID-19 deaths were reported in Assam. The deceased were identified as Mahan Talukdar (45) & Late Azizur Rahman (52) from Nalbari district; Narayan Chandra Deka (54) & Dulu Paul (50) from Tinsukia; Turab Ali (48) from Morigaon; Sufala Gogoi (46) Kokhrajhar; Khanindra Nath (55) from Nagaon and Prakash Jain (60) from Dibrugarh. This was informed in a tweet on Saturday evening by State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma. With this, the death tally of the state has gone upto 140.
