Congress has lost all the 8 elections held in the past 1 year in Assam: Himanta Biswa
June 12: June 12: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday registered a massive victory in Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) elections in Assam. All the 26 seats were bagged by the BJP and its allies. Congratulating the party workers for the massive victory, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma took a sharp dig at the rival Congress party.
Dr Sarma said, “Congratulations to the BJP candidates and Karyakartas for the resounding win in Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) elections. Assam is on its way to becoming Congress mukt. After drawing blank in Rajya Sabha & Guwahati municipal polls, the party has now zero member in KAAC. Infact, Congress has lost all the eight elections held in the past one year in Assam.
