Assam University celebrates ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ Day

February 3: Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat-Assam University (EBSB-AUS) Club celebrated its Second Club Day on 30 January in the Seminar Hall of the Department of Performing Arts, Assam University, Silchar.

At the outset, the Secretary of the Club, Dr. Himadri Shekhar Das, welcomed all the members and conveyed his sincere thanks to all the members and students for organizing EBSB Day on 29 January, 2020. Dr. Debotosh Chakraborty, the Nodal Officer, informed the members about the revised guidelines received from the MHRD in this connection.

As per the guidelines, the Members of the Club decided to organize series of activities like Cultural Programmes, Language classes, Essay Writing Competition, participation in Youth Festival, Displaying Notice Board, Publication of Newsletter etc. to promote the feeling of oneness and encouraging student fraternity to take part in the nation building process.

In his deliberation, the Nodal Officer, Dr. Chakraborty also apprised the student members about the details of Student Exchange Programme to be undertaken with the Central University of Rajasthan during March and April, 2020.

Apart from this, other members of the Club Dr. Joyashree Dey, Dr. Jagnanth Barman, Dr. Murali Basa, Dr. A. Das addressed the students. On the occasion, students also performed some cultural events and delivered speeches on great history, culture and food habits of Rajasthan.
