Assam University Professor Receives ‘Rising Women of India’ Award
রাইজিং উইমেন অব ইন্ডিয়া’ পুরস্কার পেলেন আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপিকা

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ১১ ডিসেম্বর : আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভাষাতত্ত্ব বিভাগের অধ্যাপিকা মেরি কিম হাওকিপকে শিক্ষাক্ষেত্রে তাঁর অসামান্য সাফল্য ও জাতির সেবায় বিশেষ ভূমিকার জন্য ‘রাইজিং উইমেন অব ইন্ডিয়া’ সম্মাননায় ভূষিত করা হয়েছে। সম্প্রতি নতুন দিল্লিতে ফ্রেন্ডশিপ ফোরাম অব ইন্ডিয়া-র পক্ষ থেকে তাঁকে এই সম্মান প্রদান হয়েছে।

প্রসঙ্গত, ‘ফ্রেন্ডশিপ ফোরাম অব ইন্ডিয়া’ দেশের উৎকৃষ্ট নেতৃত্ব ও সেবার পরিচায়ক ব্যক্তিদের চিহ্নিত ও সম্মানিত করার জন্য নিবেদিত একটি সংস্থা। শিক্ষার আলোয় দেশজুড়ে প্রভাব বিস্তারকারী অত্যন্ত মেধাবী ব্যক্তিত্ব হিসেবে অধ্যাপিকা হাওকিপকে সংস্থার পক্ষ থেকে এই স্বীকৃতি দেওয়া হয়েছে।

শিক্ষার মানোন্নয়ন ও সুযোগ সম্প্রসারণে অধ্যাপিকা হাওকিপের একনিষ্ঠ কাজের পাশাপাশি জ্ঞানচর্চার মাধ্যমে সমাজকে শক্তিশালী করতে শিক্ষকদের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকাকে আরও জোরদার করেছে এই স্বীকৃতি। এই সম্মাননা অধ্যাপিকা মেরি কিম হাওকিপকে দেশের অগ্রগতিতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবদান রাখা বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিত্বদের মধ্যে স্থান দিয়েছে।

অধ্যাপিকা মেরি কিম হাওকিপের এই সাফল্যে সন্তোষ ব্যক্ত করে তাঁকে আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন জানিয়েছেন উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক রাজীব মোহন পন্থ ও নিবন্ধক ড. প্রদোষ কিরণ নাথ। উভয়ই আশা প্রকাশ করে বলেছেন, অধ্যাপকদের কৃতিত্বই আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়কে আরও এগিয়ে নিয়ে যেতে প্রেরণা জোগাবে।

Way2barak, December 11 : Dr. Mary Kim Haokip, Professor in the Department of Linguistics at Assam University, has been honoured with the prestigious ‘Rising Women of India’ award for her outstanding achievements in the field of education and her notable service to the nation. The award was recently conferred on her by the Friendship Forum of India in New Delhi.

The Friendship Forum of India is an organisation dedicated to identifying and recognising individuals who demonstrate exemplary leadership and service across the country. Professor Haokip was selected for this honour as a highly talented and influential personality whose work continues to illuminate the field of education nationwide.

This recognition not only highlights Professor Haokip’s dedicated efforts in improving educational standards and expanding opportunities but also underscores the crucial role teachers play in strengthening society through knowledge and learning. The award places Professor Mary Kim Haokip among the distinguished personalities who have made significant contributions to the nation’s progress.

Expressing satisfaction at her achievement, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Mohan Pant and Registrar Dr. Pradosh Kiran Nath congratulated Professor Haokip. They said her accomplishment will inspire the academic community and motivate Assam University to move forward with greater zeal.
