Cachar Police seizes heroin worth ₹3.1 cr, 2 apprehended

Oct. 20: In a major drive, Cachar Police keeping up its vigil, seized narcotics once again. Acting on a tip off, a team of Cachar Police on Tuesday apprehended an Eco Van which entered Jirighat from Manipur. The vehicle was stopped at Jirighat by the cop and on being searched 508 gms of heroin, worth ₹3.1 crores in international market was recovered. Also, 650 tablets of Alprazolam were also seized from the same vehicle. The police team further nabbed two persons including a lady who were in that vehicle. Both these two persons are interrogated to find out others involved in this drugs network.
