Training & awareness programme on Disaster Management held at Lalit Jain Commerce College

August 22: A training and Awareness Campaign on Disaster Management conducted by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) at Lalit Jain Commerce College, Silchar. On Thursday, a team of NDRF demonstrated various safety techniques during disasters like earthquake, flood etc.

Inaugurating the programme, Amarnath Singh, Principal of Lalit Jain Commerce College urged upon the students and the staff to observe with attention, the various safety techniques that will be taught by the NDRF team. Inspector Khema Ram from NDRF Team Silchar, along with 4 of his other team members demonstrated the different ways to overcome disasters that are either a natural phenomena or a man-made calamity.

The students and the staff also participated in this awareness programme with apt attention. The programme was compered by Anupriya Deb, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Lalit Jain Commerce College.
