Parimal Suklabaidya visits Lailapur following killing of a man by Mizo miscreants
Nov. 3: Minister of Excise, Forests & Environment and Fisheries, Assam Shri Parimal Suklabaidya on Monday night paid a visit to Lailpur area of Assam-Mizoram border following the incident of brutal killing of one Intaz Ali by Mizo miscreants after he was kidnapped.
The Minister on Monday afternoon rushed backed to Cachar after hearing this tragic incident while he was on his way to Guwahati. On his visit to Lailpaur, he was accompanied by Dilip Kumar Dey, DIG,Southern Assam;Keerthi
Jalli,DC, Cachar; V Meena,SP, Cachar; Jagdish Das, Additional SP, Cachar & others.
The Minister regarded the incident as highly condemnable & expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the victim. He assured of all possible support & an ex-gratia amount to the family of Intaz Ali very soon. He also informed that an NIA probe into the whole series of incidents have been recommended by the Assam Government under the direction of the Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.

Interacting with the locals, Parimal Suklabaidya informed that the Chief Minister is personally monitoring the whole situation & is in talks with Union Government too to resolve the growing tension of border dispute so that a permanent solution to this aspect & long lasting peace can be achieved.

Pressing on a more administrative control, the Minister on Monday night announced that Lailpaur Police Outpost would be converted into a full fledged Police Station very soon & the same would be set-up in a nearing area to the Assam Mizoram border to prevent any such incidents in future. He further appealed to the people residing in Lailpaur to maintain peace.
