Out of 31,586 tests done on Friday, 1019 found +ve in Assam; 8 deaths registered

Oct. 9: On Friday, 1019 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now reached 1,92,416, out of which, 31,778 are active cases. During the day, 31,586 tests were done in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 1019 #COVID cases detected out of 31586 tests today. Positivity Rate – 3.22% Kamrup (M) – 252; Jorhat- 100.”

Moreover, during the day, another 08 persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of Assam to 802.
