Assam govt announces special scholarship scheme for female minority students

Nov. 1: Applications have been sought from female minority students studying in class, and under the Special Scholarship Scheme of Assam Government. Under this scheme, the students of Class X will be given Rs. 2000 per year and Rs. 4000 per year for the students of Class XI and XII.

The eligibility criteria for this scholarship are:

• The female students should belong to minority community
• They should be enrolled in Class X or XI or XII in the academic year 2020-21.
• From a family, maximum of 2 such students can apply for this scholarship
• To apply for this scholarship, the applicant must have Aadhar card
• Applicants must apply online through madhyamik.assam.gov.in
• They can also apply by downloading ‘Bidyarthi’ app from google Playstore.
• The applicants should have a bank account in their own name
• A declaration is to be taken from the head of the institution
