97 tests +ve in Assam on Wednesday; 90 patients discharged

Dec. 16: On Wednesday, out of 22,969 tests, 97 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 2,15,042 out of which, 3,544 are active cases. The positivity rate in the state is 0.42 percent.

On Wednesday, 90 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 2,10,488 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Further, during the day, 03 more patients died in Assam from Cachar district due to COVID-19. The death tally of the state now stands at 1007.
