Assam registers 8 more deaths due to COVID-19 on Wednesday, tally rises to 323

September 2: On Wednesday, Assam recorded another 8 deaths due to novel coronavirus. With this, the death toll of the state has now gone upto 323. This was confirmed in a tweet by State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday night. The deceased were identified as:

• Madhabi Bhattacharjee (75) & Jamir Uddin (60), Karimganj
• Shakuntala Sen (63), Kajal Dutta (66) & Wahida Rahman (60) from Dibrugarh
• Prabhat Chandra Bora (82) &  Bulu Devi (69) from Kamrup Metro
• Prafulla Sagariya (72) from Darrang
