Printing press where forged TET certificates in Assam were printed sealed by CID

Oct. 7: Raids were being conducted in over 14 districts of Assam continuously to apprehend those who were involved in the forged TET certificate racket in Assam. Finally, the Assam Police CID achieved big success as sleuths were able to nab 29 candidates and six brokers in connection to the TET certificate scam so far.

Further, the printing press where the forged TET certificates were allegedly printed was also sealed. Forged TET Certificates, lists containing the names of the candidates, a computer Hard Disc containing the scanned image of a TET certificate, examinee list and other incriminating documents have been found during the raids in that press, following which the CID sealed the printing press.

A case under section 120(B)/420/467/ 468/471 IPC on October 3, 2021 was lodged against candidates who have fraudulently obtained teacher appointments based on forged and fabricated certificates. At least 31 candidates suspected to have submitted forged and fabricated TET certificates for appointment were interrogated by the cops.
