Principal NC College, Badarpur files FIR for a fake notice in his name about Valentine’s Day

Jan. 24: The growth of social media is indeed a great boon for many but sometimes it also becomes a cause of concern. A similar incident happened in Nabin Chandra (NC) College, Badarpur, which compelled the Principal of the College, Dr. Mortuja Hussain to lodge a police complaint on Sunday.

Infact, a notice bearing the signature and seal of the college Principal was circulated in the social media since last few days. Though beneath the signature of the Principal in the ‘fake’ notice it was written “Unofficial notice just for fun purpose,” yet, the college authority took the matter very seriously.

The content of the ‘Fake Notice’ reads “Dear Student, It is to notify that on Valentine’s Day, 14th February, 2021, single students are not allowed to come in College. Couples are allowed by holding hand. It’s a request to single students to search  for a person to become mingle before 14th February.”

Dr. Mortuja Hussain took serious note of this fake notice which has become viral in social media and filed a complaint at Badarpur Police Station on 24 January. In the FIR, the Principal urged upon the police “to take early necessary steps against the miscreants so that such attempts of defaming an institution and misguiding public may be prevented in the days to come.”
