Cachar Police observes Police Commemoration Day at Police Parade Ground, Silchar

October 21: National Police Commemoration Day is observed every year on 21 October to honour the brave policemen who sacrificed their lives while discharging their duties. Rich tributes are paid to the martyrs on this day. On the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the people to visit the National Police Museum and saluted police forces and their families.

Along with the rest of the country, Cachar Police too observed Police Commemoration Day at Police Ground, Silchar on Monday. A rally was taken out in this connection early in the morning. Later on, during the main programme at Police Parade Ground, Mugdhajyoti Dev Mahanta offered rich tributes to the policeman who laid down their lives while on duty.

Speaking during the occasion, the Police Super said that people have great expectations from the police. He thanked the police force for their devotion and dedication towards their duty. He also offered rich tributes to the brave-hearts who sacrificed their life on duty.
