With 2 more cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 27 on Saturday

Active cases 50 in Cachar

April 10: On Saturday evening, 25 persons were detected to be infected with coronavirus. However, later on, 2 more persons also tested COVID-19 positive. With this, the day’s total has gone upto 27. During the day, a total of 3,896 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done, out of which, 11 persons were found positive, whereas 16 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. This was informed by Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed, District Surveillance Officer (DSO), IDSP, Cachar on Saturday night.

With this, the district tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 11,563. Further, a total of 11,475 patients were discharged in the district as of now.  At present, there are 50 active cases in Cachar district, out of which, 09 of them are admitted at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH), whereas, 41 others are in home isolation.

Further, the district health authorities appealed to the public to maintain COVID appropriate behaviour like use of face masks in public places, maintain social distancing, hand hygiene and coughing etiquette like covering of mouth and nose while coughing. Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed stated that by following these steps we can help prevent the break out of the second wave of COVID-19.
