143 Covid deaths in Assam in last 3 days including 47 on Saturday

May 8: With a tragic turn of events, more and more people are losing their lives in Assam due to Covid-19. In the last three days, 142 persons in the state have lost their lives due to the deadly coronavirus. On 6 May, 46 people succumbed to Covid-19, 07 May recorded 47 more deaths and on 8 May, 50 persons lost their lives in the virus attack.

Out of the 50 deceased on Friday, 16 are from Kamrup Metro; 6 from Kamrup Rural, 4 each from Dibrugarh & Nalbari; 2 each from Cachar, Barpeta, Dhubri Nagaon & Sonitpur; 1 each from Baksha, Bongaigaon, Darrang, Dhemaji, Golaghat, Kokhrajhar, Lakhimpur, Sivasagar, Tinsukia & Udalguri. The death tally of the state now stands at 1,628.

Apart from the 1,531 Covid deaths, another 1,347 Covid positive patients also died in Assam, but due to comorbidities.
