Silchar Airport gets a face lift with new renovated reserved lounge

March 17: Silchar Airport has got a face lift with new renovated reserved lounge. This lounge is now ready to serve the esteemed guests at the Airport. The terminal building expansion & modernization work is progressing at a great speed. Silchar Airport is upgrading to provide better amenities & service to passengers.

Meanwhile, in January 2021, Silchar Airport got a face lift with a new canopy outside the Departure Lounge. Vehicles can now drop the passengers inside the canopy & proceed towards the vehicle parking or City without hindering traffic movement.

Apart from this, the Terminal Building Expansion & Modernisation work at Silchar Airport is under rapid progress. The new Check-in area with 08 counters & 02 self check-in Kiosk has been made operational. In a social media post, Silchar Airport authority wrote, “We are upgrading and adding amenities for the convenience of the passengers.

Further, extension of Apron & construction of new link Taxiway work at Silchar Airport is also going on at full swing. After completion of the work, there would be two additional parking bays, suitable for B739/A321 & ATR72/Q400 type aircraft.
