Draft Electoral Roll for Silchar Municipal election published

Sept.24: The Draft Electoral Roll of Wards 1 to 28 under the Silchar Municipal Board has been published.
According to the Municipal Act of 1956 and on the basis of voters list as on 01/01/2020, the list has been prepared in accordance with the direction of the State Election Commission.

The draft electoral list will be kept for inspection during office hours on all working days and will be displayed for voters in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, District Judges Court, Sadar Revenue Office, police stations within the municipal areas, Silchar Municipal Board, and the Officer-in-Charge of the designated polling stations.

Deadline for filing claims and objections and for inclusion of names is up to 5 pm of October 3. The date of publication of list of claims and objections is October 5 .Date of publication of final voter list is October 20. No applications for claims and objections will be accepted after October 3. Inclusion of names, claims and objections, etc should be submitted to the officials engaged for the purpose.
