Youth arrested in fake army dress at Silchar Railway Station, RPF suspects him to be terrorist

May 25: A youth dressed in army uniform was arrested by Railway Police Force (RPF) from Platform No.3 of Silchar Railway Station. On Saturday night, Agartala-Silchar Passenger train arrived at Silchar at 7.51 PM. On duty, RPF led by its Inspector B.M. Dhar noticed a passenger in army uniform at Platform No.3 who came by that train. He was carrying a big suitcase along with him. His movement was somewhat suspicious. Inspector B.M. Dhar at once took him for investigation.
On being asked, the youth confessed before the RPF that he was not an army jawan. He said that he had worn the army uniform because he loves the dress. However, on opening his suitcase, RPF found out some more army uniform, fake name plates, army badges inside it. Apart from these articles, there was no normal clothes in his possession.
The youth identified himself as Mongfru Mog, aged about 19 years, son of Thaijai Mug, a resident of village Chandra Monu under Santi Bazar Police Station in South Tripura. The RPF apprehended the youth for further investigation. RPF has expressed the doubt that he may be involved with any terrorist group and was carrying the uniform to carry out any operation in the guise of army men. Speaking to way2barak, Inspector B.M. Dhar said that they will thoroughly investigate into the matter to find out the truth.
