YASE Udharbond Committee distribute food materials among 100 poor families
April 3: Amidst 21 days national lockdown in the fight against coronavirus, the earning of many daily wage labourers has come to a halt. Though government has announced many social welfare schemes but to process the entire thing time is required. In the meantime, many NGOs, social organisations have come forward to help the poor and the needy. A similar act of helping those in need was undertaken by the Udharbond Assembly Committee of Youths Against Social Evils (YASE).
On Friday, the Udharbond Assembly Committee of YASE distributed food items like rice, pulses, potato, onion, soyabean, salt and soap among the tea garden workers of Arcutipore and Dayapur Tea Estate in Udharbond Assembly constituency of Cachar. 25 poor families from every ward were given the aid as part of YASEs #FoodDuringCrisis campaign. A total of hundred families were given the said materials. Awareness on Cleanliness was also taken up by the organisation.
The aid distribution was led by Rajat Roy, President Udharbond YASE Assembly Committee along with Namor Uddin Laskar , Bhola Rabidas, Ashad Ali, Jahar Dey and others. Similar activities will also be undertaken on Saturday in other tea garden areas.
