YASE Dholai Committee distribute food materials among 200 poor families
April 2: Amidst 21 days national lockdown in the fight against coronavirus, the earning of many daily wage labourers has come to a halt. Though government has announced many social welfare schemes but to process the entire thing time is required. In the meantime, many NGOs, social organisations have come forward to help the poor and the needy. A similar act of helping those in need was undertaken by the Dholai Assembly Committee of Youths Against Social Evils (YASE).
On Thursday, the Dholai Assembly Committee of YASE distributed food items like rice, pulses, potato, onion, soyabean, salt and soap among the poor people of Dwarbond and its adjacent areas in Dholai assembly constituency of Cachar. Around 200 poor families were given the aid as part of YASEs #FoodDuringCrisis campaign.
Those present during the distribution of the food materials were Shekhar Dhar, Gen Secretary of YASE Dholai Assembly Committee, Raju kalowar, Bhola kalowar, Joydeep chakroborty, Altaf Hussain Laskar, Debobroto Deb, Dilip kanu, Raja Kar Purkayastha, Probath Deb, Sudip Roy, Pradip Mala, Toni Lal Bania, Babulal Goala, Surojit Roy and Bechan Goala.
