Workshop for APSC aspirants held in GC Colg

Way2barak, March 9 : The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Gurucharan College, Silchar in collaboration with the Assam Public Service Commission and Cachar District Administration conducted a one day awareness workshop on “Examinations Conducted by the APSC” on Thursday in the college auditorium. Honourable Chairperson of APSC and Retired IAS Officer, Mr. Bharat Bhushan Dev Choudhury graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Key Speaker.

The Vice Chancellor of Assam University, Prof. Rajiv Mohan Pant, Joint Secretary of APSC, Smt. Pinky Bargiary and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, Mr. Yubaraj Borthakur were invited as Guests of Honour. The college Principal, Dr. Bibhas Deb and Vice Principal, Dr. Gopa Singha were also present on the dais.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and felicitation of the guests. Principal, G.C. College, Dr. Bibhas Dev delivered the Welcome Address. ADC, Mr. Yubaraj Borthakur, spoke in brief about the necessity of conducting such awareness workshops for the civil service aspirants of Barak valley.

Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rajiv Mohan Pant, in his address congratulated IQAC, GCC for organising such a relevant event. He emphasized the need for hard work, dedication and a positive attitude in order to achieve success in competitive exams.

Honourable Chairman of the APSC, Mr. Bharat Bhushan Dev Choudhury delivered an informative and interesting keynote speech where he broke down the various aspects of APSC-CSE preparation and provided a strategic roadmap on how to approach the examination for the young aspirants present today.

The event saw an enthusiastic participation of more than 200 students from different colleges of the district. Dr. Debipreeta Dutta, Assistant Professor of the Department of Zoology, GCC was the Convenor of the programme and Ms. Srestha Kar, Assistant Professor of English was the anchor. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Ranabijoy Das, Assistant Professor of Economics.
