Women’s College organise students’ seminar on Perspective in History: Culture, society and people

way2barak, JAN 25: The Department of History, Women’s College Silchar, organized a students’ seminar on Friday on the theme, ” Perspective in History: Culture, society and people.”

The coordinator of students’ seminar and HOD of History, Dr. Sanghamitra Jahari stated that the seminar was organized for the students to inculcate confidence and motivate for research work. Students of CBCS 6th semester and FYUG 2nd semester presented papers on diverse topics related to the theme such as History as an inter-disciplinary subject, women’s history, women, partition and colonial plantation, cultural symbols and tangible heritage of Assam etc. The ‘Best Paper’ and ‘Best Paper Presenter’ were selected by guest faculties Diya Paul, Sreeparna Bhattacharjee and Barnali Deb
