With 71 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 172 on 19 June, 3 deaths at SMCH
Active cases 1,806 in Cachar; 106 discharged on Saturday
June 19: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Saturday at 11.30 PM. As per the latest data, 71 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 172 persons were found positive in the district on 19 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 101 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 1,806. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Saturday night. Also, 106 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Friday, 194 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 8,787 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 101 persons were found positive, whereas 71 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 16,375, whereas during this phase, 14,395 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 1,806 active patients:
- 138 of them are admitted at SMCH
- 10 at MH
- 23 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
- 18 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
- 15 at CRPF Doyapur
- 00 at Gracewell Nursing Home
- 15 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
- 11 at Valley Hospital
- 00 at South City Hospital
- 00 at Nightingale Hospital
- 11 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
- 15 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
- 05 Palonghat Model Hospital
- 1,545 patients are in home isolation.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 18 June to 5 PM on 19 June) witnessed demise of 03 Covid-19 positive patients at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. Out of the 03 deceased, 02 are from Hailakandi and 01 is from Karimganj. No fatalities were reported from Cachar at SMCH on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Safiqur Rahman (54) from Kaliganj in Karimganj, Rahima Begum Barbhuiya (47) from Hailakandi district and Sitangshu Nath (49) also from Hailakandi.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 19 June, there were 131 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 77 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 54 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 14 patients were put under ventilator support and 102 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 19 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 20 of them were discharged. Further, 07 of them have opted for admission at Covid Care Centre.
