With 61 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 203 on 22 June, 1 death registered

Active cases 1,688 in Cachar; 155 discharged on Tuesday

June 22: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Tuesday at 11.00 PM. As per the latest data, 61 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 203 persons were found positive in the district on 22 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 142 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 1,688. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Tuesday night. Also, 155 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Monday, 181 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 20,882 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 131 persons were found positive, whereas 72 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 16,798, whereas during this phase, 14,949 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 1,688 active patients:

  • 122 of them are admitted at SMCH
  • 12 at MH
  • 45 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
  • 12 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
  • 13 at CRPF Doyapur
  • 00 at Gracewell Nursing Home
  • 11 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
  • 04 at Valley Hospital
  • 00 at South City Hospital
  • 15 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
  • 06 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
  • 37 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
  • 16 Palonghat Model Hospital
  • 1,395 patients are in home isolation.

Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 21 June to 5 PM on 22 June) witnessed demise of 01 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. The detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. The deceased is from Cachar district. The deceased was identified as:

  • Anil Kumar Sinha (68) from Bekirpar, Kabuganj in Cachar district was admitted at SMCH on 20 June. The patient, however, passed away at 8.10 AM on 22 June.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 22 June, there were 114 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 64 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 50 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 13 patients were put under ventilator support and 86 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 22 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 29 of them were discharged.
