With 54 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 298 on 14 June, 3 deaths registered
Active cases 2,298 in Cachar; 290 discharged on Monday
June 14: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Monday at 11.40 PM. As per the latest data, 54 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 298 persons were found positive in the district on 14 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 244 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 2,298. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Monday night. Also, 290 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Sunday, 150 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 7,773 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 229 persons were found positive, whereas 69 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 15,173, whereas during this phase, 12,727 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 2,298 active patients:
- 195 of them are admitted at SMCH
- 08 at MH
- 21 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
- 32 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
- 22 at CRPF Doyapur
- 03 at Gracewell Nursing Home
- 33 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
- 13 at Valley Hospital
- 12 at South City Hospital
- 00 at Nightingale Hospital
- 14 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
- 37 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
- 1,908 patients are in home isolation.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 13 June to 5 PM on 14 June) witnessed demise of 03 Covid-19 positive patients at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) and 01 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. Out of the three deceased on Monday, 03 are from Cachar district and 01 from Hailakandi.
The deceased were identified as Bhiru Nath (65) from Chenkuri Kanchanpur in Cachar, BimalKumar Das (75) from Rangirkhari, Silchar and Joy Narayan Satnami (61) from Manipurbazar in Hailakandi district. The details about the 4th deceased from Silchar at Green Heals Pvt Hospital was not known till the filing of this report.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 14 June, there were 181 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 91 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 90 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 21 patients were put under ventilator support and 124 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 21 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 16 of them were discharged. Further, 21 of them have opted for home isolation.
