WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram server down for several hours on Monday

Oct. 4: On Monday evening, netizens reported that the server was down of social media platforms- WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram. A twitterati reported that since around 7.45 PM on 4 October, WhatsApp, Facebook and  Instagram became non-functional. People were unable to exchange WhatsApp messages. The web browsers even failed to open Instagram and Facebook websites. Many users reported the outrage on twitter. Till the filing of this report at 10 PM on Monday, the server of these three popular sites were non-functional.

Reacting to this, social media giant Facebook said, “We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we appologize for any inconvenience.”
